Crystalline Drip Glaze Vase from Ruskin Pottery, 1930s About This Piece Vintage Design Ruskin Pottery crystalline drip glaze vase c1930. The vase is ovoid baluster in form with flared neck. Softly coloured blue tones at its rim through an ochre coloured band into darker blue. Over-glaze colours applied with characteristic drip-glaze technique onto a vivid blue ground. Unusual in that it has applied rosettes or flower-heads centrally around its body. Ruskin art pottery was based on experimentation with decorative glaze finishes and during firing so that every crystalline vase is effectively unique.
