Credenza from Gordon Bunshaft, 1960s About This Piece Vintage Design Red dye teak credenza with chrome recessed pulls designed by Gordon Bunschaft and manufactured by De Coene for the Belgium Lambert Bank, circa 1960. The credenza features two drawers and four features two storage compartments with a single interior shelf, with a lock on the side. The piece is finished on the back so it is presentable on all sides. The interior is completely veneered in oak. The sideboard is in good condition and shows signs of age and use, which small scratches in the lacquer mainly on the top and near the doors. Gordon Bunshaft is an important American architect. Inspired by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier, he is adept at a Minimalist style. In 1952, he built the ''Lever House'', the first skyscraper in Manhattan that is composed mainly of glass, for which he received the Pritzker Prize in 1988.
