Luxurious tea box of the Napoleon III period in Chinese lacquer (work of canton), of sarcophagus form with cut sides with black and gold lacquered decoration, rests on gilded wooden claw feet. Decorations of animated scenes in a plant atmosphere. Containing 2 engraved pewter tanks with their stoppers. Around 1850. Wear and fading of the paint, cracks and small chips attest to its frequent use.
