Amazing huge vintage ceramic table lamp decorated with flower motifs in shiny black, creamy yellow and warm ochre by artist Noomi Backhausen for "Søholm Stentøj", Denmark. The lamp was handmade on the small Danish island Bornholm at the Søholm workshop in the 1960s and each lamp is a unique piece of art. The lamp base is stamped by maker and signed by Noomi Backhausen herself. Noomi Backhausen (1938–2011) was one of Denmark's leading ceramic designers during the 20th century. She is best known for her time at the Söholm factory during the 1960s-1980s, where she designed wall plaques, lamps, and other works of art in earthy colors. Noomi's artwork is represented at several museums in the Nordic region. The lamp has been equipped with a new white flax linen shade. Shade diameter: 35 cm. Shade height: 26 cm.
