Vintage, mid-century, pair of two-tiered, brass and glass side tables from France, circa 70's.
Each table features two shelves made of glass. The tops are made of clear, tempered glass with rounded, smooth edges that have a green hue (see photos).
The lower shelves are also made of glass, and are of a black onyx color that are square, with corners that have been cut to give a slight octogonal effect (see photos); each one rests upon a beautiful, brass frame. Unlike the clear, glass table tops which are screwed into place, the black shelves are removable.
These two different-colored glass shelves, in contrast with the bright, golden color of the frame, its fluted legs and tips, really make this glamorous table, a stand-out conversation piece.
Each piece remains in excellent original condition, with light signs of age, usage and a patina of time (see photos.)
~ The four, glass shelves glass shelves are in excellent condition. They have no cracks or chips, only minuscule signs of age and use, commensurate with time.
Both structures are also in very good, original, vintage condition on one of the tables, and light marks of usage on the other (see photos.) Both have a lovely patina of time.
Both tables are solid and sturdy.
A fantastic, timeless pair of side tables that could alternatively be used as nightstands, that will blend perfectly with any given vintage, mid-century, contemporary or Hollywood Regency décor.
