About This Piece

Vintage Design

Striking Brutalist golf trophy sculpture by David Marshall, in 1970s crafted in cast brass and aluminum. The goblet-style cup in warm, gold-toned brass features a distinctive split rim and a silver-toned dimpled golf ball detail. It rests on a heavy sloped aluminum base, showcasing the textured casting pits and tool marks that define Marshall’s workshop style.

The bold contrast between polished metal surfaces and raw textures is signature to Marshall’s work, where industrial techniques are transformed into organic, sculptural forms. Signed with his cast “dm” monogram and stamped on the underside “David Marshall – Diseños, S.A., Sevilla – España,” confirming studio production in Spain.

A standout piece that functions as both a trophy and a work of art, this Brutalist brass and aluminum sculpture captures the spirit of late 20th-century Spanish design. Perfect for display in a study, office, or clubhouse, and a unique gift for golf enthusiasts or collectors of modern design.
