Vintage Design

Danish bookcase with a secretaire designed by Johannes Sorth and manufactured by Nexo Møbelfabrik in Bornholm in the 1960s. It is a marvelous example of high-quality Danish mid-century modern carpentry combined with elegance and functionalism.

The bookcase consists of two adjustable shelves, a spacious three-drawer dresser and a secretaire with several small compartments, three small drawers hidden behind tambour doors, and a pull-out desk. This piece of furniture will create a discreet space for a home office while providing ample storage space for books or other items. Crafted from beautiful and durable teak wood, the bookcase features slightly rounded edges and a nicely carved base, adding lightness to the construction. All of these elements add a touch of warmth and intimacy to any interior.

The piece of furniture is after renovation. Our team has checked the bookcase and ensured that all mechanisms work properly and smoothly. The wood has been cleaned and protected with Danish oil to refresh its natural beauty. There are absolutely minimal signs of use, they do not spoil the esthetic but confirm the age of the piece.
