Black Geometrical Composition is an original artwork realized by Frantisek Kupka. Original painting realized in gouache of black China ink on creamy wide paper. Hand-signed in red ink on the lower right corner. Passepartout included: 35 x 27 cm. Including a decorated wood frame: 50 x 41 cm. Very good conditions, except for the yellowed papersheet. Interesting geometrical composition realized by Frantisek Kupka (Opočno, 1871 – Puteaux, 1957) composed by vertical and oblique lines on a black surface. The artwork is typical of the artist's style. He was a Czech painter and graphic artist, one of the pioneers and co-founders of abstract art and Orphic Cubism (Orphism). This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price.
