Excellent lifelike depiction of two upright bitterns, birds from the heron family, with stylised bundles of plants placed next to them for support on rounded meadow bases.

Designer: JOHANN JOACHIM KAENDLER (1706 - 1775) chief sculptor at the Meissen manufactory from 1742 to 1775.
