Pair of model 319/11 armchairs designed for dining room No. 331 by the renowned designer Bruno Paul in 1934 for Deutsche Werkstätten, Dresden-Hellerau.

Materials: Dark-stained pear wood, original hand-woven cane backrest, upholstered textile seat.

Seat height: 45 cm

This Bruno Paul model is on display at the SKD Museum, Dresden, Germany

Bruno Paul: A Visionary Designer Bruno Paul (1874-1968), German architect, designer, and caricaturist, is an iconic figure of 20th-century design. Trained at the Munich Academy of Arts, he influenced designers such as Mies van der Rohe, creator of the famous Barcelona chair. Inspired by Henry van de Velde, Bruno Paul made design history with his simple-lined furniture and functional metal objects. Bibliography: Catalog of Bruno Paul, ed. by A.
