Stunning antique Victorian sapphire and diamond brooch made c.1880. The brooch is made from 9ct gold with a solid silver front which complements the sparkling diamonds with a dazzling appearance. The workmanship and intricacy is wondeful on this piece with a very fine and delicate setting of a foliate/scroll motif. Between each leaf and scrolled sections, varying sizes of old cut diamonds have been set with an additional 4 sapphires to accent the overall aesthetic. Ideal as a gift to someone special or as an indulgent treat for yourself, the versatile size and modest colour scheme of the brooch lends itself to many styles. Whether it be to wear with a blouse or jumper or perhaps on a lapel in the cooler months, this brooch is a wonderful accoutrement to display your passion for fine antique jewellery.
