This is a carved and gilded wooden frame that presents some sizes distributed in bands. A slightly smooth outer edge already advances the predominance of the lines of the piece and towards the center an area worked with intertwined branches surround the entire frame, details that give it great movement.
This predominance of curves, bumps, creation of shadows, etc. are very common details in certain artistic trends throughout the nineteenth century.
