Vintage Design

A good Regency rosewood tea table c1815. Rectangular top with radiused corners and inlaid boxwood lines. Fold-over top rotates to reveal an internal lined compartment and opens to reveal a rosewood surface with boxwood lines to match tabletop. Rosewood apron with gadrooned border above a turned and anthemion carved, gadrooned central pedestal with gilt metal mount. Raised on a quadriform base with gilt metal mounts and carved claw feet and castors. Sympathetically restored and retaining its original finish. The table is 76 cm in height, its top when folded measuring 104 cm in width and 52 cm depth. Opens to give a very useful 104 cm x 104 cm pedestal table.
