About This Piece

Vintage Design

This elegant chest of drawers from around 1900 was crafted using traditional craftsmanship and impresses with its finely grained real wood veneer in a herringbone pattern and a solid marble top. The matching mirrored top is in its original condition and features charmingly aged mirror glass, which displays a few blind spots – typical of the period and a sought-after sign of authenticity. The mirror can also be removed and the chest of drawers alone displayed. The chest of drawers has four drawers, including two large compartments and two smaller upper drawers. The embossed brass fittings are original and display a delicate patina. The mirrored top is harmoniously connected by a marble back panel with a wall shelf, making this piece particularly suitable as a dressing table or vanity unit.
