Vintage Design

Antique early-20th Century Japanese Meiji period, solid silver large five-piece tea and coffee service on tray, exceptional and magnificent quality, double walled, chased, embossed and applied with dragons in very high relief, with dragon-form handles and spouts applied with elongated flowing whiskers. Hallmarked with the Junjin marks (950+ high grade silver), Retailed by Miyamoto, active in Tokyo. Miyamoto designed and produced his products for many diplomatic persons, such as Imperial House of Japan, Imperial Household Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies as well as holding the Royal Warrant, which was a rare privilege at the time.
