This cute, old desk comes from a school in Shandong, circa 1920 and has a delightful matching stool. Both have been refinished with a distressed, crackled blue lacquer to create a more contemporary look for a modern home.

Perfect in a child's bedroom or playroom as a desk for reading or drawing, with a useful hinged lid opening out to a compartment for their books, pens and papers.
