Vintage Design

This imposing Venetian walnut chest of drawers, probably dating back to the 18th-19th century, expresses all the solidity and elegance typical of period furnishings of the Venetian tradition. The massive structure and generous dimensions (width 142 cm, depth 68 cm, height 99 cm) make it a piece of furniture with great presence.

The chest of drawers is made up of three large front drawers, each equipped with shaped and richly crafted metal handles, which add a touch of refinement. Under the upper cornice, just hidden by the frame, there is a smaller drawer called a "coin holder", a functional and interesting detail, typical of some antique furniture, used to store small objects or money.

Walnut wood has a warm and natural patina, with grains that testify to the age and quality of the material. The lines of the furniture are simple but elegant, with well-defined moldings and a slightly raised base on small feet, which give the chest of drawers a solid but not heavy appearance.

The side of the furniture is enriched by a carved frame that defines a decorative panel, further enhancing the craftsmanship with which it was made.
