About This Piece

Vintage Design

Pair of Louis The front is punctuated by three and a half drawers separated by crosspieces, finely threaded and veneered, decorated with briar reserves within a shaped threaded and veneered frame in a herringbone pattern. The same decoration is repeated on the straight sides and on the inlet surface.
The drainer hides six small drawers inside. We find a further secret drawer in the side molding under the upper shelf.
Frames and moldings are all in end wood. This rare pair of eighteenth-century folding furniture rests on curled feet and has a structure made of fir wood, with original fittings and locks.
The excellent quality of the essences and their skilful combination with unique cabinet-making mastery distinguishes this pair of extraordinary eighteenth-century furnishings, a companion piece rarely found on the market.
They come from a private collection in Milan.
