12712 Ceiling Lamp by Angelo Lelii for Arredoluce, 1958

Exquisite pair of large models 12712 ceiling or wall lamps designed by Angelo Lelii and manufactured by Arredoluce, Italy 1958. These rare and impressive sized lamps are very well made as can be expected of the Arredoluce quality. The structure is made of nickel-plated brass, the feet are black and white painted, the top of the lamp is in grey painted finish and the diffuser is made of white acrylic glass. Due to their large size, they make quite an impression in their appearance. The lamps look like a space craft which just landed on earth and that is also how impressive they really are. The small spine feet with conical tips make it look like they are floating and gives them a distinguished look. Angelo Lelii, known for his radical designs, expressed that with conviction in this design. These lamps were not available on the market for many years since a dozen of them came from a shop in Brescia where they were hanging for 60 years. Besides that lot, none of them were on the market until now and they are actually super rare. The lamps are versatile as they can be used as ceiling or wall lamps, both looking very amazing. The lamps use 7x E14 bulb up to 25 watt each, but because of the acrylic glass diffuser, the light doesn’t look too bright and gives them a nice balanced light beam when lit.
